With Stranger Things: The First Shadow launching its first preview performance tonight on Broadway, Netflix has announced Behind the Curtain: Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Follow the cast and crew as they race against time to prepare the ambitious, critically acclaimed West End stage play, which opened at London’s Phoenix Theater in December 2023. Stranger Things: The First Shadow is written by Kate Trefry (“Stranger Things”), based on an original story by “Stranger Things” creators the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), and Trefry. Serving as a standalone prequel to the hit Netflix series, the Olivier Award-winning play is directed by Stephen Daldry and co-directed by Justin Martin.
